Description of role/assignment
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our clients’ services team in Stockholm. You will be part of a dedicated group that delivers streaming media to millions of people across the noridcs.

Length: 30th of June with possible extension
Location: Stockholm hybrid - 3 days on-site presence required
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend systems for video and radio encoding, packaging, and distribution
Contribute to the design and scaling of our clients’ CDN and origin services
Collaborate closely with other development teams, network and datacenter colleagues and support functions
Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain services in production
Work in an agile setup with freedom under responsibility
Required skills
A minimum of 3 year's professional experience with Java SE
Solid knowledge of OTT streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, SRT/MPEG-TS, RTMP) and common video/audio codecs and containers
Experience designing distributed systems
Experience with native development in C or C++
Experience with an interpreted scripting language such as Python or shell script
Solid knowledge of GNU/Linux systems, including configuration and troubleshooting
Good knowledge about TCP/IP and common application protocols, HTTP in particular
The ability to reason about modern software design principles
Comfortably communicating in spoken and written English is necessary, good understanding of Swedish beneficial but not a pre-requisite.
