Backend Golang Developer – Observability and Monitoring Platform
Job Description
- Develop and maintain backend services, internal libraries, and observability tools using Go to support reliable and scalable production systems.
- Build and maintain instrumentation for Go based services, including HTTP and gRPC middleware, database, Redis, and messaging integrations.
- Implement and manage observability capabilities covering metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, and telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.
- Develop actionable dashboards and alerting, support performance monitoring and root cause analysis, and help improve system reliability across distributed services.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross functional teams to implement observability standards, troubleshoot production issues, support incident investigations, and improve monitoring practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands on experience developing backend applications using Go in a production environment, with strong understanding of concurrency, REST, gRPC, testing, and performance profiling.
- Hands on experience with observability technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing tools, and structured logging platforms.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis in distributed systems and collaborate effectively across engineering teams.
