Summary
The Backend Java Developer will design and maintain Java-based applications for pension and savings products, focusing on tax compliance and investment processing. The role involves full-lifecycle development using Java 21, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL in a hybrid environment.
Rate: 150 pln/h net + VAT, B2B
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week from office in Warsaw/Gdańsk)

Summary: The primary objective of this role is to develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications that manage taxation, account management, and investment processing for pension and savings products.
Main Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investments products.
Build robust calculation engines to ensure compliance with current tax regulations across multiple countries.
Develop support for complex business processes, integrating with tax authorities, and generating customer-facing reports.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Mentor other developers, act as a code reviewer, and spread practical engineering practices across the team.
Utilize AI-assisted development and automation responsibly to improve productivity, quality, and learning.
Exhibit strong collaboration and analytical skills.
Key Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Java 21, Spring Boot, Hibernate).
Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL).
Knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
Nice to Have:
Experience with messaging protocols (JMS, MQ).
Good analytical skills and strong collaboration skills.
