Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Backend Developer with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on professional experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, excellent logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and practical experience in database design, SQL queries, and backend API development using FastAPI and/or Django.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Django/Django REST Framework.
• Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Write optimized SQL queries, joins, stored procedures where needed, and database migrations.
• Design and manage database schemas, tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization, including JWT and role-based access control.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement input validation, exception handling, logging, and debugging.
• Identify and resolve backend performance bottlenecks.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Work with Git for version control and collaborate with development teams.
• Develop unit tests and integration tests to maintain application quality.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues.

Required Technical Skills

Python Development

• Strong knowledge of Python, including OOP, data structures, functions, exception handling, and modules.
• Excellent logical thinking, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and backend development concepts.

Backend Frameworks

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django.
• Understanding of Django REST Framework, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and Django ORM.
• Experience designing, implementing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Database Management

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of CRUD operations, joins, indexing, normalization, and relational database design.
• Ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with ORM tools and database migrations.

Development Tools

• Git and GitHub/GitLab.
• Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Python virtual environments and dependency management.
• Basic understanding of Linux environments.

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services.
• Knowledge of Redis, Celery, and background task processing.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with pytest and automated API testing.
• Familiarity with Nginx, Apache, or production application deployment.
• Understanding of application security, caching, and performance optimization.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
