Backend Python Developer

Summary

Build and maintain Flask REST APIs and PostgreSQL-backed services (complex SQL, migrations, reporting) writing clean, tested backend code with pytest and Docker Compose; nice-to-haves include RabbitMQ, AWS, ETL and LLM work. On-site role in Lahore, working 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a good Backend Python Developer with 2+ years of professional experience to join our development team.

Key Responsibilities



  • Build and maintain REST API endpoints with Flask and Flask-RESTX.

  • Write clean and scalable backend code

  • Work with PostgreSQL, complex SQL queries, indexes, migrations, and reporting

  • Write automated tests using pytest

  • Debug applications using Docker Compose

  • Follow existing architecture, coding standards, and ticket requirements


Must have



  • 2+ years writing Python for production backends.

  • Solid experience building REST APIs (Flask, or FastAPI and willing to learn Flask).

  • Strong PostgreSQL and SQL. You can write multi-table joins and aggregations, read a query plan, and add the right index.

  • Experience with database migrations and schema changes on a live system.

  • Docker and Docker Compose for local development.

  • Automated testing (pytest or similar).

  • Good written English and communication skills


Nice to have



  • Message queues (RabbitMQ) and background worker services.

  • AWS S3, EC2, ECR.

  • Pandas and building data import or ETL pipelines.

  • Reporting work: materialized views, rollup tables, caching.

  • LLM work LangChain, LangGraph, or the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs.

  • PostGIS or other map and location data.


Location : Valencia


Salary Slot: 150k to 180k


Timing: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM monday to friday
