Backend Python Lead

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Lead with strong expertise in Python backend development, FastAPI, and AI-driven services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend applications and integrating AI/ML services into enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Python.

- Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI.

- Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.

- Design and implement backend services integrating AI/ML models and AI-powered applications.

- Develop APIs to expose AI capabilities to internal and external applications.

- Lead and mentor a team of Python backend developers.

- Drive technical decisions, architecture discussions, and problem-solving initiatives.

- Manage team allocation, task prioritization, and delivery timelines.

- Coordinate with product managers, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.

- Expertise in FastAPI framework and REST API development.

- Experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems and microservices.

- Good understanding of AI services, AI/ML integrations, and model-serving architectures.

- Experience working with LLM-based applications and Generative AI services.

- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.

- Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and people management.
