Backend Software Engineer
Summary
Backend engineer at bol.com building and operating the shared backend platform that powers multiple shop teams serving millions of customers. Day to day: designing scalable services and APIs with Golang, Java or Kotlin on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and exploring AI-assisted platform improvements.
In this role you build and evolve the backend foundation that powers multiple shop teams, enabling scalable, reliable platforms and faster delivery. You will shape the platform, automation, and developer experience to support dozens of teams and millions of customers. You’ll tackle scalability and reliability challenges while collaborating across engineers, product managers, and bol colleagues. The role blends hands-on coding with architecture, operations, and exploring AI-assisted improvements to the platform.
Verantwoordelijkheden- Design and develop scalable, resilient services and APIs
- Work with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions
