Backend Software Engineer (GO, K8S)

On behalf of our international partner, we are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with strong Go and Kubernetes expertise to join their Budapest-based engineering team. You will play a key role in building a cloud-native AI and data analytics platform, working on the core backend systems that power distributed workload execution and resource management at scale. Responsibilities Design and develop backend services in Go Build and enhance a Kubernetes-based workload execution platform Work on distributed systems supporting AI and ML workloads Contribute to platform components such as resource management, isolation, and orchestration Collaborate closely with a highly experienced, internationally distributed engineering team Take ownership of services from design through deployment Requirements Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience Strong development experience in Go (Golang) Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture Experience building reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend services Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset Confident English communication skills Nice to have Experience with Kubernetes Operators, CRDs, or controller development Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Knowledge of Docker, Helm, CI/CD pipelines Exposure to machine learning workloads or data platforms Familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem What We Offer
