A leading global financial-technology firm is hiring a backend engineer for its Threat Intelligence & Forensics team to modernize the systems that store, source, and correlate threat data across the enterprise. This is deep backend work — schema design, clean API interfaces, a company-wide IAM rollout, and a new client library that becomes the drop-in standard for security teams across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design database schemas and migrate to internally managed relational stores
- Build and evolve REST APIs and middleware
- Refactor services to consume clean APIs and shed direct DB coupling
- Ship a new IAM-aware client library used across multiple security teams
- Own testing (unit → e2e) and performance tuning under load
What you bring
- Strong Python (the core requirement)
- REST APIs, relational + NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Linux + distributed systems, CI/CD, debugging, performance optimization
