Backend Software Engineer
You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications that support critical product features. You will build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, write clean and well-tested code, and contribute to scalable architecture decisions. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, support cloud deployments and monitoring, collaborate on performance and availability improvements, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex integration and performance issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js, Go, Java, or similar technologies.
- Build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs with performance, traceability, and security.
- Own technical delivery by proposing solutions, estimating effort, and prioritizing improvements.
- Write clean, modular, well-tested code that follows engineering practices and architectural standards.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in cloud deployment and monitoring processes.
- Participate in code reviews, design decisions, and scalable architecture definition.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize performance, availability, and observability.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues and complex third-party or legacy-system integrations.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of backend development experience.
- Experience with Node.js, Go, Java, or similar languages.
- Deep knowledge of REST, webhooks, authentication, and API integrations.
- Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience with non-relational databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Experience working in cloud computing environments, preferably AWS.
- Experience with microservices architecture is desirable.
- Basic infrastructure knowledge, including networking, monitoring, and logs, is desirable.
- Experience integrating third-party systems, such as payment platforms or legacy systems, is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
- Communication skills for sharing technical ideas and coordinating with other areas.
