Backend Software Engineer
About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build and own backend infrastructure for automated software agents, including the tooling that measures their quality and keeps them dependable in production. Work alongside field-facing engineers to turn repeated deployment issues into shared platform features.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain core infrastructure for agents that automate browser and desktop tasks, including tool use, state handling and retry behavior.
- Create measurement and monitoring systems that show how well agents perform, explain their decisions and flag quality regressions.
- Experiment with and ship better approaches to how agents plan, act, retain context, check their work and recover from errors.
- Own backend services and long-running workflow orchestration, including APIs, background jobs and event-driven systems in a TypeScript monorepo.
- Collaborate with customer-facing engineers to convert recurring field problems into shared platform features and internal tooling.
- Design clean abstractions and reusable building blocks that let agents operate safely across many different external systems.
