BACKFLOW PREVENTION SITE MANAGER

You will serve as a Backflow Prevention Site Manager in the Commander, Joint Base Pear Harbor-Hickam at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-13026651-26-MSJ. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

You will provide inspections on a variety of water systems; interpret, apply, and enforce pertinent rules and regulations; interpret and explain cross connection and water quality regulations.

You will read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning.

You will observe and interpret situations; review and interpret blueprints, plans, and manufacturers' manuals pertaining to commercial and industrial complexes to determine compliance with applicable standards.

You will perform, analyze and interpret the results of a variety of cross connection control tests and tests of backflow preventers; maintain accurate records and prepare appropriate reports; operate and maintain testing equipment.

You will review mechanical piping system designs and provides review comments for proposed plans and specifications for new construction, alteration and repair projects to assure compliance with backflow prevention requirements

You will provide technical advice to engineers and technicians on specific maintenance, design and repair problems relating to cross connection control.
