Backup Engineer
Introduction & Summary
We are seeking a skilled Backup Engineer to support a critical change initiative involving the transition of backup policies. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup and Dell Data Domain technologies. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and is adept at managing backup operations and migrations.
Main Responsibilities
This role is pivotal in enhancing the team’s capacity and ensuring the success of migration activities.
Support the transition from NDMP to DNAS backup policies.
Conduct configuration, troubleshooting, and capacity management for backup solutions.
Optimize performance and provide documentation for backup processes.
Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
Ensure timely execution of planned migrations and project milestones.
Key Requirements
Hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup deployment, administration, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of NDMP and DNAS backup policies, including design and configuration.
Experience with Dell Data Domain administration and its integration with NetBackup.
Ability to manage backup migration activities effectively.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer skills.
Experience working independently in a senior technical role.
Nice to Have
Experience with NAS migrations and various storage platforms.
Background in large enterprise environments.
Knowledge of backup governance and operational processes.
Involvement in supporting infrastructure transformation projects.
Capability to train and transfer knowledge to BAU teams.

Location: Warsaw, Gdansk, Gdynia or Lodz
Work Model: Hybrid - 2/3 times per week from the office
Rate: up to 140 pln/h
