Backup Engineer – Veritas NetBackup (f/m)

We are looking for an experienced Backup Engineer to join a project focused on the transformation of backup infrastructure within a large, international enterprise environment.

The project involves the migration of a NAS backup solution and the transition of backup policies from NDMP to DNAS. We are looking for a hands-on engineer who can independently support the configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and migration of the backup environment.

Responsibilities

• Configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Veritas NetBackup

• Supporting the migration of backup policies from NDMP to DNAS

• Administration of Dell Data Domain and its integration with NetBackup

• Execution and support of backup/NAS migrations

• Capacity management and backup performance optimization

• Diagnosing technical issues and resolving migration blockers

• Creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation

• Knowledge transfer and support for the BAU team

Requirements

MUST-HAVE:

• Strong hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup

• Practical experience with NDMP and DNAS

• Experience with Dell Data Domain

• Ability to independently configure and troubleshoot backup environments

• English proficiency allowing effective communication in an international environment

NICE-TO-HAVE:

• Experience with migration projects, particularly within backup/NAS infrastructure
