The IT Business Unit Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Tracks business unit performance against the IT business plan and service level agreements; identifies gaps.
- Works on mergers & acquisitions and outsourcing / right placement activities.
- Contributes to and / or creates internal communications. Creates and prepares reports, metrics and presentations. Exhibits sound understanding of concepts and principles in own area and a basic knowledge of concepts and principles in other technology areas.
- Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals.
- Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level employees. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
- Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams. Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Banamex busca un Observability & Monitoring Lead Analyst responsable de asegurar el Monitoreo Constante de los canales digitales y plataformas críticas del banco mediante la operación 7x24x365 de las herramientas de Observabilidad y su grupo de operadores.
Esta posición fungirá como el primer nivel de detección y notificación (Nivel 0) para incidentes tecnológicos, identificando oportunamente degradaciones, anomalías y riesgos operativos a través de herramientas como Splunk, AppDynamics y otras plataformas de monitoreo empresarial. Será responsable de correlacionar eventos técnicos con el impacto potencial a los servicios de negocio, facilitando una respuesta temprana por parte de las áreas de soporte y tecnología.
El rol tendrá visibilidad transversal sobre servicios críticos como Banamex Móvil, BancaNet Personal, BancaNet Empresarial, Account Opening, ATMs y plataformas digitales estratégicas, impulsando mejora continua para fortalecer la experiencia del cliente y la continuidad operativa.
Responsabilidades Principales
- Operar como punto central de detección temprana de incidentes tecnológicos (Nivel 0).
- Monitorear continuamente métricas, logs, transacciones, eventos y alertas utilizando herramientas como Splunk y AppDynamics.
- Analizar y correlacionar alertas para determinar afectaciones reales o potenciales a los servicios de negocio.
- Identificar degradaciones de desempeño, errores recurrentes y tendencias que puedan derivar en incidentes o interrupciones.
- Coordinar la notificación y escalamiento oportuno hacia los equipos de soporte, desarrollo e infraestructura.
- Participar activamente en la gestión de incidentes críticos (MIMs) y procesos de recuperación de servicios.
- Analizar incidentes, problemas recurrentes y causas raíz para identificar oportunidades de automatización y monitoreo preventivo.
- Diseñar y promover indicadores operativos, dashboards y alertas orientados al negocio.
- Coordinar y priorizar iniciativas de monitoreo, observabilidad y automatización.
- Medir la efectividad de los controles, monitoreos y automatizaciones implementadas.
- Colaborar con equipos multidisciplinarios para fortalecer la confiabilidad y disponibilidad de los servicios digitales.
