Position Overview
The Banding position’s primary responsible for preparing and applying custom banding and trim on drapery products. In this hands-on role, you will apply custom banding and trim, sew components like tabs and Euro-hems, fabricate tiebacks, and prepare drapery products for the next stage of production. This role requires precision, focus, and a commitment to quality.
What you'll do
- Apply custom banding and trim to drapery products with precision
- Fabricate tiebacks and sew components, including tabs, Euro-hems, and stiffeners
- Insert chain weights and prepare ripplefold snap tape as required
- Read and follow work orders to ensure accurate production
- Inspect cuts and finished products to maintain high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
- Cross-train in other production tasks to support the team
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of fabrics or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate sewing machines and hand tools (training provided)
- Ability to read and follow work orders, measurements, and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 25–40 lbs (assistance for heavier items)
- Ability to use hands for repetitive sewing and production tasks
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read labels, measurements, and work tickets accurately
- Color vision test required (if applicable)
