Duties and responsibilities
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Deliver a high standard of hospitality and customer service to patients on the wards.
- Support patients with menu selections and ensure meals and refreshments are served efficiently and courteously.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food under the guidance of the Catering team.
- Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness across ward and restaurant areas.
- Support stock rotation and replenishment to ensure food safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and infection prevention procedures.
- Work independently and collaboratively to provide an excellent catering service throughout the hospital.
.Who we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a catering, hospitality, restaurant, café, or similar environment.
- A basic Food Hygiene qualification or a good understanding of food safety practices.
- Experience working independently and using your own initiative.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Experience in waiter/waitress, host, hospitality assistant, or catering assistant positions is highly desirable.
Bank Contract - Flexible Shifts
- Shifts available between 6:00am and 9:00pm
- Monday to Sunday
- Flexible working to support business needs
