Priory Hospital Solihull has an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our team.
Solihull is a specialist that provide support for adults with complex mental health needs and we consider referrals from all over the UK (although most of our referrals come from local Trusts within the West Midlands. Priory Hospital Solihull, Meriden, Warwickshire is a 31-bedded level 2 rehabilitation service for males supporting the NHS. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus services and nearby train stations providing links into Coventry and Birmingham. The hospital is also well connected by road, with the M6 and M42 approximately 10 minutes away and wider access to the M40 and M1 motorways.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all home areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
  • Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department or home manager to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.

Skills for the role
  • have a good standard of English, supported by basic numeracy and literacy skills. Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. The role requires effective communication skills to respond to routine enquiries and provide basic information, while recognising when more complex issues should be referred to the line manager for further support.
