Welcoming guests warmly and professionally and providing attentive service throughout their event experience.
Delivering elevated food and beverage service with confidence, poise, and attention to detail.
Learning menus, ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and seasonal offerings so you can confidently answer guest questions.
Providing thoughtful food and beverage recommendations, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
Executing proper wine service, including presenting, opening, and pouring wine according to established service standards.
Following responsible alcohol service practices and all applicable regulations.
Providing polished service techniques, including coursed meals, proper plate presentation, tableside service, and other banquet service standards.
Accurately taking and delivering orders while maintaining proper timing and coursing throughout the event.
Communicating closely with Kitchen and Bar Curators to keep service flowing smoothly.
Maintaining impeccable tables throughout an event, including clearing, resetting, and keeping the table presentation polished.
Anticipating guest needs and providing attentive, unobtrusive service without interrupting the guest experience.
Handling guest questions, concerns, and special requests with discretion, empathy, and urgency.
Jumping in to support fellow Curators and contributing to a culture of teamwork, excellence, and hospitality.
Keeping service areas clean, organized, and sanitary throughout every event.

Education and Experience
Previous banquet, fine dining, upscale hospitality, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards preferred.
Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of wine varietals, regions, vintages, food pairings, and proper wine service.
Must obtain and maintain any required state or local alcohol service permits or certifications.
Must obtain and maintain any required state or local food service certifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain calm, poised, and professional under pressure.
Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Ability to follow restaurant and banquet policies, service standards, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event times based on business needs.
Must maintain a polished, professional appearance and adhere to all grooming and uniform standards.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, glassware, equipment, and other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to safely carry and maneuver trays and service equipment throughout banquet and event spaces.
Ability to use hands and fingers with precision for detailed service techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced banquet environment where guest needs, event timelines, and service requirements may change quickly.
Ability to safely handle food, beverages, glassware, serving equipment, and other materials according to established procedures.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas throughout an event.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment based on job responsibilities.
