Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations, ensuring seamless service and adherence to brand standards.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle feedback promptly and professionally.
• Handle guest complaints with diplomacy, professionalism, and prompt resolution.
• Provide clear communication and direction to staff, observing performance and promoting continuous improvement.
• Coach bar staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability.
• Develop, update, and innovate the bar menu in collaboration with the relevant teams, ensuring that it reflects current trends and guest preferences.
• Monitor compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible service at all times.
• Conduct regular stock checks, place orders, and ensure all supplies and products meet quality and presentation.
• Maximize bar profitability; implement effective controls of beverage costs to ensure efficient operations. Develop and implement cost savings and profit enhancement measures.
• Collaborate with the F&B management and other department heads to coordinate service excellence across the property's bars.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the F&B Director or Hotel Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of proven experience in bartending and/or bar management within a luxury hotel, fine dining venue, or high-end cocktail bar.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. A degree or certification in hospitality management, food and beverage management, or a related field can be advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktail preparation, and mixology trends.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a guest-centric mindset.
• Experience in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and training.
• Strong organizational and financial management skills, with proven success in cost control and inventory.
• Proficiency with POS and inventory management systems; familiarity with bar control software is an asset.
