About The Role
Champions Social Club is looking for an energetic, dependable, and hospitality-driven Service Assistant to join our Food & Beverage team. This versatile role serves as a Service Assistant, Barback, and Busser, providing essential support to our Servers, Bartenders, and Front of House Team to create a seamless and elevated experience for our members and guests.
Our Service Assistants help keep both the dining room and bar running smoothly by clearing and resetting tables, running food and beverages, refilling water, maintaining clean and organized service areas, and ensuring the bar remains stocked with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other supplies. From preparing the dining room and bar before service to anticipating team and guest needs during high-volume periods, this role is all about staying one step ahead and keeping service moving. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, team-oriented, and guest-focused, with the ability to move with a sense of urgency while maintaining the polished and professional hospitality standards of Champions Social Club.
**This is a part-time position, working approximately 15 – 25 hours per week.**
Responsibilities
- Support Champions Club’s culture by creating a positive, welcoming, and professional experience for members and guests.
- Support Servers and Bartenders throughout service to ensure an efficient, seamless, and memorable member experience.
- Set up, maintain, and break down dining areas, service stations, and bar areas before, during, and after service.
- Prepare and reset tables with appropriate tableware, utensils, napkins, and glassware according to service standards.
- Promptly clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables between courses and after guest departure.
- Assist Servers with running food, delivering bread and tableware, refilling water, beverage service, and other guest needs.
- Deliver food and beverage items quickly, accurately, and professionally while maintaining presentation standards.
- Monitor the dining room and anticipate member and guest needs, providing support without disrupting the dining experience.
- Assist Bartenders with maintaining adequate levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other bar supplies throughout service.
- Proactively restock coolers, ice wells, service stations, glassware, and bar supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Prepare and replenish garnishes, juices, mixers, and other bar ingredients according to established standards.
- Assist with changing beer kegs, replacing empty bottles, organizing beverage inventory, and properly rotating and storing supplies.
- Collect, wash, polish, and properly store glassware, bar utensils, and service equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, bar tops, wells, coolers, service stations, storage areas, and other Front of House spaces.
- Maintain working knowledge of the food and beverage menu to effectively support Servers, Bartenders, members, and guests.
- Communicate guest requests, concerns, or service needs promptly to the appropriate Server, Bartender, or Supervisor.
- Work closely with Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, Supervisors, and Kitchen Team Members to maintain smooth and timely service.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and remain attentive to changing service needs during high-volume periods, special events, and peak business hours.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented demeanor at all times.
- Follow all health, sanitation, food safety, alcohol-service, opening/closing, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of Front of House operations.
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- TABC and Food Handler certifications are required or must be obtained prior to your first day of employment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, or high-volume service experience preferred.
- Experience working in an upscale restaurant, private club, hotel, entertainment venue, or high-volume bar environment is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to anticipate needs and remain organized during busy service periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Bartenders and other Front of House Team Members.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain professional and productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, push, or move beverage cases, kegs, ice, and other bar supplies.
