Barista
Meriwether Godsey is looking for Part-time or Temporary Barista's responsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at Sweet Briar College, located in Amherst, VA.
- Pay range: $14-$15 per hour
- Must be available: nights, weekends, and a mix of daytime and nighttime.
What you will do:
- Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages
- Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude
- Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors of the cafe and servery, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items
- Maintain stock of cafe inventory
What you need:
- Previous Barista and food service experience required
- POS experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication and good organizational skills
- Flexibility: the ability to switch between locations and job duties
- High School Diploma or equivalent
