Barista: Calgary Part Time | 3 days a week | Tues to Thursday 7am to 3pm

As an experienced Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your key duties will include:

**Core Barista Responsibilities:**

  • Greet customers warmly and take beverage orders with accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment with proficiency
  • Maintain consistent quality and presentation of all beverages
  • Manage the coffee bar station, including organizing supplies and ensuring attractive, well-stocked displays
  • Uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards at all times

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 1 year of barista or café experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for beverage preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement to work in your province or territory

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso extraction, and latte art
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and inventory control systems
  • Secondary education or high school equivalency (not required)
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems

You are an experienced Barista who enjoys working in a team environment, ensuring high quality services and customer satisfaction. You will be asked to greet customers, take orders, mixes and serve hot and-or cold beverages. You will have the responsibility to arrange the coffee-bar-cart supplies and ensure displays are attractive. Maintaining the bar-coffee-cart station in a sanitary matter is mandatory. You will also record all sales, collect money, operate a cash register and follow all cash-handling procedures as required. You may perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by your manager.

You have a minimum of 1-year experience and excellent customer service. You may be enrolled in a secondary educational institution or working toward high school equivalency, but it is not required. You must meet the minimum age requirement to work in the province or territory where the job is located. Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards and inventory control systems are preferred.
