Barista (Entry level)

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-oriented Entry-Level Barista to join our team. This role is suitable for candidates who are passionate about coffee, interested in learning café operations, and enjoy working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.

No prior barista experience is required. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages according to outlet standards.

• Learn and perform basic espresso-making, milk steaming, and beverage preparation.

• Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, efficient service.

• Operate the POS system and handle cash/card payments when required.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas.

• Assist with daily opening and closing duties.

• Restock coffee beans, milk, cups, syrups, and other beverage supplies.

• Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

• Assist the team with basic food preparation and general outlet duties when required.

• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.

• Support the team during busy periods, events, and peak service hours.

• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Outlet Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

• No prior barista experience required; training will be provided.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Genuine interest in coffee and the F&B industry.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Responsible, punctual, and reliable.

• Good personal hygiene and grooming standards.

• Able to work as part of a team.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.

Preferred but Not Essential

• Previous experience in cafés, restaurants, hotels, or customer service.

• Basic knowledge of coffee and common café beverages.

• Experience with POS systems.

• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
