Barista Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barista Lead to join our team at Basecamp Cafe at the Lightwell Hotel + Spa. The Barista Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop, including preparing and serving beverages, managing inventory, training new baristas, and providing excellent customer service. This role will be full-time position providing guidance for new employees, assist with scheduling, and training for the team. As the lead you will guide and develop a small diverse team working alongside the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and mentor new baristas
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the coffee shop
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating staff shifts
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
- Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one
