A day in the life....

A bartender is the backbone of the front of house. They engage with Guests and are the leader on the floor. They create recipes for craft cocktails, make the alcoholic beverage for all guests and help the servers with recommendations. They also takes orders and delivers food and beverages. This position ensures the quality of the food and overall guest experience is excellent. A bartender is also is responsible for all billing and payment processing.

Reports to: Assistant Manager

Job Tasks

• Use sales techniques to increase revenues from alcohol and full-service menu in the bar.
• Prepare alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
• Serve food in the bar.
• Control inventory for alcohol and bar supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar.
• Stock alcohol and bar supplies.
• Improve bar menu and drink recipes.
• Prepare drink garnishes.
• Monitor guests for safe alcohol consumption and limit problems and liability.
• Verify legal age requirements.
• Complete bar orders and cash and credit card transactions.
• Balance cash receipts at the end of each shift.
• Run cash reports.
• Complete side duties as required including, polishing silverware, restaurant set up, and filling condiments.
