Bartender

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly stock and set up bar at the beginning of each shift.

• Ensure that the bar is neatly arranged throughout the shift.

• Notify management of any equipment that may malfunction.

• Make certain that all drinks prepared for guests are at Comfort Suites Paradise Island standard.

• Ensure that the required number of liqueurs is dispensed for all drinks.

• Ensure that all drinks made on assigned shift are financially accounted for.

• Responsible for breaking down and set up for the following day at the end of the shift and secure all cupboards.

• Ensure that management is made aware of any charges that may need a void.

• Ensure that the bar is kept clean during your shift. All chairs and bar stools are arranged properly, and the counter and tabletops are clean.

• Drop ALL payments collected at the end of each shift.

• Process payment from customers

• Verify identification and age requirements of customers.

• Mix traditional and creative cocktails.

• Clean glasses and bar utensils

• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.

• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.

• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift.

• Be knowledgeable regarding menus and daily specials.

• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.

• Perform all other reasonable duties assigned by Management.
