Bartender
- Stocks bar, mixes, and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
- Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
- Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content.
- Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.
- Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
- Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
- Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
- Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
- Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
- On occasion serves meals to guests.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum of 2 years bartending experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
- Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
- Alcohol Awareness Training.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)
- Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands.
- Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
- SERV Safe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace.
- Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values.
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors.
- Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding.
- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
