Description

Craft Bartender

Luxury Hotel Bar · 5-Star Hospitality

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Bar Manager / F&B; Director

Location: La Colombe d'Or Hotel

Status: Full-time (evenings & weekends required)

The Role

We are seeking a refined and magnetic craft bartender who elevates every guest interaction. You will not

simply pour drinks — you will read the room, anticipate preferences before they are spoken, and deliver

service so precise and thoughtful that guests leave looking forward to their next visit. This is 5-star

hospitality at its finest: elegant, intuitive, and unforgettable.

What You’ll Do

• Craft exceptional cocktails with precision and flair using premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and both

classic and contemporary techniques.

• Deliver seamless, anticipatory service that feels personal and elevated — remembering preferences,

guiding guests toward thoughtful pairings and experiences and making every visit feel tailored.

• Maintain impeccable standards of presentation, cleanliness, and product knowledge across spirits,

wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options.

• Engage guests with warmth, sophistication, and quiet confidence; upsell thoughtfully without ever

feeling transactional.

• Collaborate with the F&B; team on menu development, special events, VIP experiences, and

inventory while upholding brand standards.

• Ensure full compliance with all alcohol service regulations and hotel policies.

• Contribute to a polished, refined atmosphere where every detail — from glassware to garnish to

conversation — is intentional.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience in high-volume or luxury hotel/resort bars, fine dining, or equivalent craft

cocktail environments.

• Deep knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, modern techniques, and solid wine fundamentals.

• Proven ability to deliver genuine 5-star hospitality: exceptional emotional intelligence, polished

communication, and the instinct to make guests feel seen and well cared for.

• Strong organizational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a calm, composed

presence during peak service.

• Valid Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission (TABC) certification, or the ability to obtain it immediately.

• Professional appearance and demeanor suited to a luxury environment; punctual, reliable, and

team-oriented.

• Bonus: experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems, VIP guest programs, or curating

signature experiences.

Why This Role

You will work in an environment that values both artistry behind the bar and genuine connection with

guests. We invest in our team the same way we invest in the guest experience — with attention, respect,

and a clear expectation of excellence.

To Apply: Send your résumé and a short note describing a moment when you elevated a guest’s

experience beyond the drink itself.
