BARTENDER / MIXOLOGIST
Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking an experienced Bartender with strong mixology skills to join the team at Venture Bar & Grill. This position is responsible for preparing classic and craft cocktails, contributing to seasonal drink offerings, and providing attentive, knowledgeable food and beverage service to guests seated at the bar. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of spirits and cocktail technique and takes pride in consistent, high-quality work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare classic and craft cocktails, beer, and wine to recipe and presentation standards
- Contribute to the development of the cocktail menu, including seasonal and signature drinks
- Prepare syrups, infusions, and garnishes in house
- Provide food and beverage service to guests seated at the bar, including taking orders, serving meals, and clearing
- Answer guest questions about the menu and recommend food and drink pairings
- Set up, stock, and close the bar each shift
- Track inventory, pour costs, and waste
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately and balance the till
- Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with Washington liquor laws
- Maintain a clean, organized bar that meets health code standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, including craft cocktail preparation
- Thorough knowledge of spirits, cocktail technique, wines (including natural wines) and flavor pairing
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining quality
- Professional, refined etiquette with guests and coworkers
- Experience with a POS system
- Effective communication in English, both written and verbal
- High school diploma or equivalent
LICENSES
- Valid Washington MAST permit (Class 12) required
- Valid Food Worker Card required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Position requires ability to exert well-paced mobility throughout duration of shift, visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal, and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp and see.

SCHEDULE:
- Variable schedule; Must be available weekends and holidays
RATE OF PAY:
- $20.77 per hour + Tips
