We're looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-focused Bartender to join our opening team.
Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences by preparing high-quality cocktails, serving wine and beer, and delivering friendly, attentive service. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable about beverages, and thrives in a fast-paced fine dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Serai's recipes and quality standards.
- Recommend cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage pairings to enhance the guest dining experience.
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Accurately process beverage orders and operate the POS system.
- Confirm patrons are of legal drinking age and follow all state and federal laws for serving alcoholic beverages
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Assist servers with beverage service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work duties.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required; fine dining experience preferred.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. Mixology or hospitality certification is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items
- Strong communication and guest service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet Kentucky's legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
