Position Overview:
Recovery Network of Programs is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator to lead and coordinate substance use services within the Bridgeport Correctional Facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, complaint, and effective delivery of medication-assisted treatment to incarcerated individuals diagnosed with opioid use disorder.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily methadone dosing and ensure adherence to RNP protocols.
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients for therapeutic effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with prescribers to communicate clinical concerns, dosage changes, and treatment updates.
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record (EHR) and dosing systems.
- Ensure proper storage, security, and chain of custody of methadone/suboxone in compliance with DEA, DPH, and SAMHSA regulations.
- Coordinate care transitions for individuals being released from custody, including referrals to community-based MAT programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison between medical, correctional, and behavioral health teams.
- Provide oversight and support to LPNs and other nursing staff involved in MAT services.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning, and compliance audits.
