Backend / Full Stack Developer Mid-Level

Location: Chandigarh

Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend / Full Stack Developer with 2–4 years of production experience to build and maintain scalable microservices and APIs for a large-scale consumer loyalty platform.

The role primarily focuses on NestJS, TypeScript, Node.js, microservices, and REST APIs, along with database, caching, testing, and frontend integration. You will work closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Release teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend microservices and REST APIs using NestJS, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Build clean, scalable, testable, and high-performance server-side applications.
• Work with MongoDB/Mongoose, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop unit and integration tests for application changes.
• Integrate backend APIs with frontend applications and collaborate with frontend developers.
• Follow security, data protection, and coding best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, Git workflows, and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Contribute to regional service setup and configuration for different business regions.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of hands-on backend or full-stack development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with NestJS and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of Node.js and server-side development.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB/Mongoose and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Redis or similar caching/session management solutions.
• Good understanding of Git, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Mandatory AI Experience

• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI or advanced AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Workspace, or similar.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate how AI tools have delivered measurable productivity improvements of approximately 150–200% in their individual or team workflows.
• Experience with AI-assisted code generation, testing, debugging, code review, documentation, or automation will be valuable.

Good to Have

• Experience with NX monorepo.
• Familiarity with Azure (App Services, AKS, Key Vault).
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Contentful, Braze, Amplitude, Segment/RudderStack, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of SonarQube or other code-quality tools.

Important

• This is a 5-days-a-week work-from-office role in Chandigarh.
• No hybrid or remote working option.
• Candidates should be based in Chandigarh or willing to relocate.
