BEDP Plantation Specialist
- Design plantation layouts for optimal use of space, sun exposure, and water resources, ensuring that all areas support high palm trees productivity.
- Implement strategies to maximize palm yield, including soil enrichment, crop rotation, and pest management practices.
- Conduct soil tests and oversee fertilizer application to maintain soil fertility and nutrient levels specific to Palm plant needs.
- Establish and monitor pest and disease management protocols, including the application of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
- Ensure the plantation adheres to industry certifications, local laws, and best practices for ethical and sustainable palm production.
- Manage multiple challenging projects, analyze & propose business models.
- Assess current state and define business solutions.
- Interact with various teams across functional cocoa businesses.
Requirements
- Education: Minimumhaving bachelor degreein Agronomy, Agroecology, Plantation Management, Agricultural Technology or related filed.GPA minimum 3.3.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in plantation nursery and plantation management, preferably with experience in palm and horticultural crops.
- Skills : Strong data analysis skills to track yield performance, identify trends and develop solutions for optimizing nursery and cocoa production.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage large plantation, with skills in budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
- Physical Stamina: Willingness and ability to work outdoors in plantation settings and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Tech. Literacy: Business Analysis & Data Visualization (MS Excel, MS Power BI or Tableau), Ms. Office, Social Media & Basic Content Creation, GIS (Geographic Information System).
- Attitude: Capable of leading teams, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and effectively communicating with staff and management.
