Before Care Caretaker

The Before Care Caretaker is responsible for creating a calming and welcoming atmosphere for students who arrive to school prior to the day beginning.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Supervise students as they eat their breakfast, play with toys, and interact with peers.

Ensure students are safe, happy, and feel welcomed prior to the school day beginning.

Manage the front door bell to allow entry for families.

Sign students in to the program with accuracy using the sign in system.

Attend to behavior using positive redirection and calming

Assist students with assignments, as needed.

Interact with students to properly engage them and mitigate behavioral concerns.

Must be 18 years old or older.

Prior experience working with children preferred.

General knowledge of technical tools such as an iPad and walkie talkie.

Attention to confidentiality, polite and patient demeanor with families and students.
