Behavior Analyst

Summary

Develop and oversee individualized behavioral support plans for individuals with disabilities, conduct assessments, train staff, and ensure compliance with MN regulations.

JD Home Healthcare provides compassionate, person-centered services to individuals with disabilities across Minnesota. We’re currently seeking a Behavioral Analyst to support our in-home programs by developing and overseeing individualized Positive Support Transition Plans (PSTPs) in alignment with MN Statute 245D and Rule 9544.

Position Overview:

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centered services to the individuals we serve. You will work as a positive support professional with the individual and their team to complete assessments, design proactive support plans, and train direct care staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessments & Planning: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and analyze behavioral data.
  • Plan Management: Develop, implement, and revise Positive Support Transition Plans (PSTPs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans using person-centered thinking and proactive language.
  • Training and Mentorship : Train, direct, and consult with waiver positive support staff, direct care providers, and stakeholders on plan implementation, emergency interventions (EUMR), and functions of behavior.
  • Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with DHS licensing requirements. Attend team meetings and collaborate with case managers, guardians, and service teams.
  • Incident Review: Provide debriefing and data review following behavioral incidents. Maintain ongoing education in trauma-informed care and positive supports.
  • Data Analytics: Implement objective tracking tools to analyze behavioral trends and evaluate plan effectiveness.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or related field.
  • Licensure: Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Minnesota. (Applicants must pass a background check and hold a current, active national certification as a BCBA).
  • Compliance: Meets 245D Designated Coordinator or Designated Manager qualifications if supervising.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-years post-certification experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health diagnoses.
  • Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check

Preferred:

  • Field Experience: Experience working with individuals with disabilities and intensive behavioral needs in home, community, or residential settings.
  • Clinical Skills: Proven expertise in writing person-centered positive support plans, trauma-informed care, and staff training.
  • Systems & Communications: Outstanding communication skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems (e.g., Therap).

Work Environment

  • Travel between program sites required; company vehicle is provided.
  • Occasional evening/weekend availability for emergency consults or trainings.
  • Hybrid remote
