Damar is seeking a talented and motivated Behavior Management Level II Provider (also referred to as a Behavior Consultant) to join our experienced and stable team. This position works with children and adults in the community. Our team has an average tenure of 7 years, reflecting the supportive culture and meaningful work you'll find at Damar.
Schedule
Enjoy a flexible Monday-Friday schedule with some remote work and no weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Attends mandatory staff meetings and other meetings as assigned
- Attends psychotropic medication appointments with clients and families/staff members (if applicable)
- Meets face-to-face at least monthly with the Level I provider
- Provides comprehensive functional assessment of behavior for each client served
- Provides training for staff regarding behavior management plans and approaches
- Implements, coordinates, monitors, documents, evaluate, and revise behavior programs as approved by the Level I provider
- Provides crisis intervention as necessary
- Interacts with clients to demonstrate respect, acknowledgment of rights, and dignity at all times
- Keeps abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations
- Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Required:
- Master’s degree in clinical psychology, school psychology, counseling, social work, special education, or another applied health service area of psychology
- Directly relevant applied experience in the implementation of behavioral interventions and working with individuals with intellectual difficulties
- Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
