Behavioral Health Specialist

This position will be responsible for providing direct patient care to all developmental populations which includes maintaining milieu/patient safety, providing skill building educational groups, and observing patient behavior/and pertinent documentation. Ability to drive PBH vehicles, transport patients, correspondence, mail, materials, cash, checks, and specimens within the hospital complex. Provides supportive services to promote optimal patient care.

High School Diploma with some college classes preferred.

If assigned to drive company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. If assigned to drive personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver’s license. CPR required within 60 days; and NVCI required within 90 days. Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. 1 year in Mental Health Field, will consider other relevant experience.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds.
