Job Purpose:
- The Behavioral Tech II is responsible for providing advanced support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support to clients. The position requires a compassionate and professional approach to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals and improving their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support clients through direct observation and interaction, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans and treatment protocols as directed by clinical staff.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of therapeutic activities and group sessions.
- Document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint training and verbal de-escalation training.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of client care strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, following established protocols.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff members by sharing expertise and knowledge.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
