BerylMartin Customer Service Representative

WELCOME! Here at BerylMartin, a subsidiary of The Messenger Co., we are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and professional Customer Service Representative to join our Funeral Printing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for funeral homes, families, and partners, assisting them with personalized memorial printing orders, product inquiries, and service needs. This position requires sensitivity, accuracy, and efficiency to ensure that every order is handled with care and respect during a difficult time for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for funeral homes, families, and vendors via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Provide compassionate, empathetic, and professional customer service while maintaining clear communication.
  • Guide clients through product offerings, including memorial folders, prayer cards, register books, bookmarks, thank-you cards, and custom keepsakes.
  • Assist customers with placing, tracking, and updating orders while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Handle urgent requests with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, client communications, and service issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns, escalating when necessary.
  • Support funeral directors and staff with product knowledge and service updates.
  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and team-focused work environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent like a GED)
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred (printing, design, or funeral service industry a plus).
  • Exceptional communication skills with a compassionate and calming demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in order processing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, CRM tools, and order entry software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to urgent timelines and client needs.
  • Sensitivity to grieving families and the nature of the funeral service industry.
