Beverage Director | Behold Julien

The Beverage Director will curate and manage the full beverage program — wine, cocktails, spirits, beer, coffee/tea and non-alcoholic offerings — across all restaurants under Behold Julien, overseeing every aspect of the beverage list and service. Their primary goal is to ensure that the beverage selection harmonises with the cuisine, enhances the guest dining experience, and strengthens the restaurant's reputation, profitability, and overall success in the competitive F&B industry.

Additionally, the Beverage Director will be responsible for leading and managing the sommelier and bar teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure excellence in beverage service.

Your responsibilities include:

Wine and Beverage Program Development

• Developing the Wine and Beverage Identity for all BHJ venues, spanning wine, cocktails, spirits, beer, coffee/tea and non-alcoholic offerings.

• Working with BHJ Senior Management to ensure that the beverage programs match the vision and align with brand positioning.

• New Concept Development as it relates to the Wine and Beverage direction.

Managing the Sommelier and Beverage Teams

• Interview, hire and train all Sommelier, Bar and Junior Beverage positions across the BHJ venues.
• Ensure that there is sufficient manpower across various concepts at all times. Manage expectations in terms of remuneration and responsibilities.
• Achieved by managing group-wide manning; the Beverage Director to replace HS, with sommeliers/bartenders providing cover across concepts. Ensure that the beverage team functions as a group-wide team by setting expectations upon hiring.
