Job Responsibilities:
Manage the beverage staff in procurement, production, preparation, presentation of all beverages for the resort in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards, regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products. This position is responsible for Beer, Wine and Liquor cost of goods and services for all Snowshoe restaurants.
Organize and execute food and beverage plans for resorts outdoor events
Oversee beverage menu design
Provide direct support to group managers and managers of all F&B outlets
Assists and supports the Food and Beverage Director by insuring the execution of the overall Food and Beverage division’s plan. Monitor daily operations while controlling beverage and labor costs. Direct the day-to-day operations of all areas of beverage service including restaurant outlets, banquets, and purchasing.
This position will be primarily responsible for the beverage program at the resort. That includes conducting TIPS training classes, conducting bartender training and collaborating on drink menus.
Conducts inspections on outlets to ensure compliance with occupational, health, safety standards and alcohol regulations.
Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation, presentation of all beverages at the resort in a safe, sanitary, cost effective and compliant manner.
Assists in the development, implementation, and managing of the department’s budget; continually analyze, forecast, monitor, control the labor and beverage costs through various methods to meet or exceed budgetary objectives.
Coordinate with all beverage vendors for events and activations at the resort.
F&B contact for VIP guests during events and activations.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements
Strong knowledge of Wine, Beer and Spirits
Knowledge of mixology
Knowledge of safe food and beverage practices.
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food and beverage profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people, complex problems within food and beverage management.
Leadership skills to motivate, develop staff to ensure the accomplishment of goals.
Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
Command of the English language both written and verbal.
West Virginia Food Handlers Card within the first thirty days of employment
TIPS Trainer Certified with in first thirty days of employment
Sommelier Training preferred
Cicerone Training preferred
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Five years or more of employment in a related position.
