Beverage Manager - Chevre

Chevre the world's finest cheese house is now hiring a Full-Time Beverage Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily front-of-house operations (dining room, bar, reservations, events) to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality guest service.
  • Manage and mentor FOH staff: hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews - fostering a team environment rooted in hospitality and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar leadership to ensure timely, coordinated service from order to plate/glass.
  • Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality - upholding Chevre's standards for presentation, consistency, and hospitality.
  • Oversee inventory control and ordering for the beverage program (wine and bar supplies); monitor costs, portion control, and supplier relationships.
  • Work with management to coordinate reservations, private events, and large tables - optimizing seating capacity, flow, and guest satisfaction.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Promote the restaurant's brand identity, culture, and guest experience standards - ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and immersed in the Chevre experience.
  • Assist in developing and executing promotional events, seasonal menu rollouts, and beverage menu updates (wine/cocktails), in line with the restaurant's concept.

Qualifications & Skills (musthaves)

  • Strong leadership and team-management skills; ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a high-performing service team.
  • Deep knowledge of food and beverage service, including extensive wine knowledge US and abroad; wine-list management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks (staff scheduling, inventory, events, service flow).
  • Commitment to high standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours typical of fine-dining service.
  • (Preferred) Prior experience working in restaurants with gourmet cuisine or wine-forward beverage programs.
