As a seasonal private club, we are looking to fill a full-time or part-time position from approximately October 2026 to June 2027. our busiest times are also some of our most exciting. Flexibility and availability during peak season, holidays, special events, tournaments, and other high-demand periods are important to the success of our team. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of Tradition Golf Club’s beverage program, including bar service, beverage inventory, purchasing, cost controls, staff development, and member/guest experience. This position leads the beverage team in delivering exceptional, consistent hospitality while maintaining operational and financial goals. The Beverage Manager will partner closely with the Food & Beverage Director and other Club leaders to continuously elevate the beverage program, develop innovative offerings, and ensure seamless service across Club outlets and events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Executes Monthly Beverage counts for Inventory

• Develops and maintains consistent recipes for the cocktail program, including mixers/garnishes/glassware

• Maintain and store products efficiently to accommodate proper ordering processes

• Plans ‘Unreasonable Hospitality’ moments, promotional strategies, and materials; develops recipes to improve the beverage program for members and guests

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspections and management of Side-work Sheets

• Develop standard operating procedures to help ensure that bars are set up and operated efficiently

• Maintains an adequate supply of liquors, wines, beer, and other beverages with an effective inventory management system

• Recruits, trains, assists with schedules and supervises bar personnel according to established club procedures

• Responsible for conducting employee reviews for beverage department personnel.

• Maintains and keeps current beverage-related training manuals

• Develops product and revenue control systems and procedures to help reduce theft/spillage/waste

• Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed.

• Works with F&B Director, F&B Manager, Coyote Cafe Lead, and others to ensure efficient beverage service in all of the club’s outlets and for special functions

• Works closely with the F&B Director in purchasing and receiving beverage products and supplies

• Works with the F&B Director and others to develop wine lists

• Wine Program: Supports the development and ongoing management of the Club’s wine program, including wine list development, product selection, pricing, inventory, staff education, member wine events, distributor relationships, and maintaining a thoughtful selection that reflects member preferences and current industry trends.

• Assists in management of the budget for Beverage Department; monitors financial information and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met

• Works with the Accounting Department to ensure that all record-keeping procedures are consistently followed

• Handles complaints from club members, guests and others relative to the Beverage Department

• Produces shift reports containing information on member-related issues, cover counts and any other concerns occurring during that time period and documents in Log Book of 7Shifts

• Assists with private parties and service in food and beverage outlets when necessary.

• Plans and develops training programs and professional development opportunities for himself or herself and all other beverage personnel

• Keeps current with changing member preferences and industry trends relative to the beverage operation

• Conducts scheduled meetings with service staff

• Attends staff and management meetings

• Schedules wine and beer samplings with distributors to continuously improve variety and quality of beverages available to club members and guests

• Monitors bar closing procedures (checklist) and assures that area is secure.

• Plans special wine promotions for members

• Assures that the club’s policies and procedures for selling alcoholic beverages are consistently followed in all beverage outlets and at all club functions

• May serve as club’s opening or closing manager or manager on duty

• Maintains a service log regarding any notable member or guest behavior in 7Shifts.

• Schedules maintenance of draft beer tapping

• Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers

• Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

• Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-worker

• Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company

• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Recruits, trains, assists with schedules

· Maintain Club standards at all times, including cleanliness, appearance and ambiance, employee discipline, and staff engagement

· Coach and Mentor staff daily

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

· 3+ years of beverage/hospitality experience, including supervisory or management experience preferred

· Private club, restaurant, hotel, resort, or comparable hospitality experience preferred

· Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing beverage or hospitality teams preferred

· Management training courses or CMAA involvement a plus

·

Preferred Technical / Other Skills and Abilities

· Knowledge in Food and beverage cost controls and operating procedures

· Knowledge in accounting, budget

· Experience with Jonas System

· Knowledge in Wine, spirits, and bar operations

· Point-of-sales systems Knowledge a plus

· Effective communication through all department levels and throughout the club

· Assures a high standard of hospitality, service, and appearance in all dining areas

· Knowledgeable of all aspects of department and daily club operation, including scheduled events, BEO’s, policies and procedures, and operating hours

· Ability to manage beverage purchasing and operating expenses within established budgets and Club purchase-approval policies

· Acts ethically and honestly at all times

· Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed

· Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations

· Manage employee labor to stay within budget and minimize overtime

Required Licenses/Certifications

· Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain within the timeframe required by applicable law and Club policy

· Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification, or ability to obtain within the timeframe required by applicable law and Club policy
