BI and Data Engineering Consultant
Summary
A consultant engagement (starting 1 Oct 2026, min 6 months, full-time) where you work independently for an emagine client in Greater Copenhagen: building Databricks data pipelines, Power BI dashboards and semantic models, and Power Platform/Dataverse integrations, translating business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
emagine is looking for a hands-on BI & Data Engineering Consultant to support our client in strengthening the data foundation behind reporting, analytics and digital solutions.
The consultant will work independently across Databricks, Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain data pipelines and backend architecture in Databricks
Build and optimise Power BI dashboards, semantic models and datasets
Develop data integrations, transformations and reporting structures
Ensure data quality, performance, scalability and governance
Build and maintain integrations between Databricks, Power BI, Dataverse and other enterprise systems
Design and maintain Dataverse data models, tables, relationships and security structures
Troubleshoot and optimise existing reporting and analytics solutions
Support Power Apps, Power Automate and AI-enabled reporting/analytics solutions when required
Key Requirements
Extensive hands-on Databricks experience
Strong data engineering and data modelling capabilities
Advanced SQL
Strong Power BI experience, including semantic models, datasets and performance optimisation
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse
Azure-based data platform experience
Experience integrating enterprise data sources and analytics solutions
Ability to independently translate business requirements into technical solutions
Nice to Have
Experience from large enterprise environments
Experience with AI agents or AI-assisted solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar
Experience from regulated industries

Duration: Minimum 6 months, with possibility of extension
Allocation: Full-time, 40.00 hours/week
