Permanent analyst role on the data and analytics team of an ASX-listed resources company in West Perth, maintaining and evolving the data warehouse, analytics platforms, and reporting. Day to day: building Snowflake data models and ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL and Python transformations, and Power BI semantic models and reports, with DevOps/CI-CD and data governance.

Our client, a leading ASX-listed resources company, is seeking an experienced BI & Data Platform Analyst to join their growing data and analytics team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Lead – Data Analytics, you'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving the organisation's data warehouse, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions — ensuring data is reliable, secure, and readily available to support a data-driven business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from APIs, databases, flat files, and other sources
  • Develop logical and physical data models in Snowflake across landing, transformation, curated, and consumption layers
  • Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reports
  • Investigate and resolve data issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks
  • Contribute to DevOps/CI-CD practices for data pipelines and reporting deployments
  • Apply data quality, security, and governance controls across all layers
  • Maintain data architecture documentation and support incident/service requests
What You'll Bring

  • A degree in a computer science-related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar
  • Strong hands-on Snowflake experience — SQL development, data modelling, RBAC, and performance tuning
  • Solid skills in SQL and Python for data transformation
  • Experience building Power BI datasets and reports
  • Exposure to REST API integrations and enterprise data sources
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and source control practices
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
