A BI Data Engineer in Brussels designs and builds enterprise data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouses, develops ETL/ELT pipelines and self-service BI (dashboards, KPIs) in a large-scale international technology environment. Core stack includes SQL, Power BI/Tableau/Qlik, and tools like Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica or Talend.

We are looking for an experienced BI Data Engineer to join a large-scale international technology environment in Brussels.
What you’ll be working on
- Design and develop Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Lakes & Data Lakehouses
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration workflows
- Develop scalable data models, dashboards, KPIs and self-service BI solutions
- Work with near-real-time ingestion and Change Data Capture (CDC)
- Contribute to cloud, on-premises and hybrid data architectures
- Improve performance through SQL/query optimization, indexing and partitioning
- Implement data quality, lineage, governance, observability and GDPR-compliant practices
- Support automated testing and deployments through CI/CD
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts and business stakeholders
What we’re looking for
- Strong SQL and relational database expertise
- Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing & dimensional modelling
- Experience with Data Lake / Data Lakehouse architectures
- Strong ETL/ELT and data integration experience
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
- Knowledge of tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica or Talend
- Experience with cloud data platforms
- Understanding of data governance, lineage and data quality
- French is a plus
Relevant Microsoft, Azure, AWS or BI/Data Engineering certifications are a strong advantage.
