The BI Developer, will be part of the Technical Delivery function; a modern, fast paced, deeply motivated and collaborative team.

The role:

You will work collaboratively and effectively within the team, troubleshooting and resolving business critical challenges.

You should have the ability to bring suggestions to technical design sessions, and to challenge proposed solutions when appropriate.

Must haves:

• Support the continued development and progression of Tableau within the business.
• Support optimisation of data models and data architecture to complement Tableau Server
• Contribute to, and act as a consultant for the Tableau roadmap, to expand and develop the Tableau dashboards and reporting suite, drawing upon the full range of Tableau features. This includes:

  • Gathering business user requirements

  • Design and development of highly interactive scorecards, dashboards and reports.

  • Leverage advanced Tableau functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, etc. URL Actions, Data Source Filters (parameter driven)) to create analytical dashboards and reports

• Drive adoption of consistent and best practice development and designs.

• Carry out and document analysis and requirements gathering to understand stakeholder needs as required.

• Familiar with Software Development best practices; able to explain and coach other developers in how to code and deliver secure, resilient code.

• Familiar with agile software engineering methodologies and processes with a high level of experience in defining and implementing software through the software development lifecycle.

• Knowledge of software engineering practices such as TDD

• Interest and passion for new technologies and approaches (whether bringing them to the table, or someone else introducing).

• Professional and/or relevant vendor certification, e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or equivalent, highly desirable
