JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

Design, develop, and maintain high-impact dashboards and analytical models tailored to restaurant and delivery operations. You will consolidate data from POS systems, delivery platforms, and ERP software into scalable data models, empowering business leaders, marketing, operations, and procurement teams to make data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Restaurant Dashboard Design & Development: Create, optimize, and maintain interactive business intelligence reports/dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) visualizing branch-level sales performance, top-performing menu items, customer peak-hour distributions, and consumer buying trends.

• POS & Delivery Data Integration: Extract, transform, and integrate transactional data from in-store POS systems and third-party delivery partners (Grab, ShopeeFood, LINE MAN, etc.) to analyze order patterns and promotional effectiveness.

• ERP & Cost Data Integration: Develop and manage robust ETL processes to extract raw material and inventory data from ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to calculate real-time Food Cost percentages and inventory wastage rates.

• Cross-Functional Analytics: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Procurement teams to define key operational KPIs, such as average bill/ticket size, rider delivery turnaround times, and promotion conversion rates.

• Data Accuracy & System Optimization: Monitor data reconciliation between store sales systems and central databases to ensure 100% data integrity, performing continuous query optimization for rapid dashboard performance.

Key Projects

• Centralized POS & Delivery Data Pipeline Integration: Build automated ETL pipelines integrating point-of-sale (POS) transactional data with major food delivery channels (Grab, ShopeeFood, LINE MAN, etc.) to evaluate menu mix performance, promotion effectiveness, and GP commissions.

• Real-time Restaurant Operations & Peak-Hour Dashboard: Develop interactive dashboards displaying hourly sales velocity, peak-hour bottlenecks, rider dispatch performance, and average ticket sizes across all store branches.

• Automated Food Cost & Wastage Analytics Platform: Integrate inventory metrics from the corporate ERP system (Oracle, Dynamics) to build automated daily tracking tools for Food Cost %, recipe variance, and raw material wastage.

• Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG) & Executive Command Center: Design executive summary reports highlighting month-over-month and year-over-year performance, regional branch comparisons, and profitability trends.

Management Expectations

• Data Governance & Integrity: Ensure high data accuracy and synchronization consistency across branch POS units, third-party delivery platforms, and central databases.

• Performance & Query Optimization: Continuously tune SQL queries, data models, and enterprise database performance to guarantee fast dashboard load speeds and seamless user experience.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Storytelling: Translate complex dataset structures into clear visual dashboards and intuitive data stories for non-technical stakeholders (Marketing, Operations, Procurement).

• Proactive Problem Solving: Take initiative in discovering data anomalies, auditing sales mismatches, and identifying hidden cost-saving opportunities through exploratory data analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Statistics, or related technical disciplines.

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or Analytics Engineer.

• Prior experience within Food & Beverage (F&B), Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Retail, or E-commerce industries is highly preferred.

• BI & Visualization Tools: Hands-on mastery of Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to build compelling visualizations and translate complex datasets into actionable business narratives (Data Storytelling).

• Database & SQL Expertise: Advanced SQL querying skills and solid experience managing Cloud Data Warehouses

• Business & Domain Knowledge: Clear understanding of core F&B metrics, including Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG), Food Cost %, Gross Margin/GP platform commission structure, and ticket size dynamics.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and data consistency.

• Good understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and data warehouse architectures.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interface with cross-departmental teams.

• Good command of spoken and written English is a plus.
