BI Solution Architect (Tableau/ Power BI)
Summary
Design and deliver scalable BI solutions using Power BI and Tableau, lead client-facing pre-sales engagements, and architect AI-augmented analytics for data-driven decision-making.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced BI Expert to design and deliver scalable, high-impact Business Intelligence solutions. In this role, you will combine strong technical expertise with a consultative mindset, working closely with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Position overview
We are looking for a client-facing BI Solution Architect to represent our Data & Analytics practice with clients and prospects - leading discovery sessions with senior stakeholders, shaping deals in pre-sales, and designing scalable, well-governed Business Intelligence and AI-augmented analytics solutions that win engagements and deliver results.
In this role, consultative and communication skills are as essential as technical depth: you will be the person we put in front of decision-makers, backed by genuine hands-on expertise in Power BI, Tableau, semantic modeling, and modern AI-enabled analytics.
Responsibilities
Own the technical side of pre-sales: lead discovery and scoping sessions with senior leaders and executive stakeholders, qualify opportunities, and shape solutions and estimations
Prepare and deliver demos, POCs, and client presentations that convert prospects into engagements
Contribute technical expertise to RFP/RFI responses
Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership on BI strategy, tooling decisions, and analytics roadmaps
Identify and develop upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
Tailor messaging and presentations to both executive and technical audiences
Translate business requirements into scalable BI architectures and technical solutions
Design and prototype interactive dashboards, reports, and semantic models / data models in Power BI and Tableau, guiding delivery teams through build-out
Architect reusable, certified semantic layers that serve as a single source of truth for reporting, self-service analytics, and AI-driven consumption
Advise clients on adopting AI-augmented analytics: natural-language querying, AI-assisted insights, and copilot-style experiences (e.g., Microsoft Copilot in Power BI/Fabric, Tableau Pulse/Agent), and incorporate them into demos, POCs, and solution proposals
Define and implement BI governance: dataset certification, access and security models, naming and documentation standards, and data quality controls across reporting layers
Ensure BI and AI solutions meet data accuracy, consistency, privacy, and responsible-AI expectations, and be able to articulate the governance story to client stakeholders
Collaborate with data engineers on data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Lead requirements gathering and prioritization across all organizational levels
Align BI solutions with business goals and analytical needs
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics consulting, or solution architecture
Proven client-facing track record: leading discovery or scoping sessions with senior business stakeholders (director level and above), with specific engagements and outcomes you can walk us through
Direct, hands-on participation in pre-sales: deals you helped shape, POCs you presented, RFP sections you owned
Demonstrated ability to present and adapt the same solution to executive, business, and technical audiences
Experience in consulting, professional services, or vendor pre-sales environments
Strong hands-on expertise with Tableau and Power BI (dashboard development, semantic/data modeling, DAX, performance optimization)
Proven experience designing and governing semantic models or metrics layers used across teams (not only single-report datasets)
Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
Practical experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Working understanding of data governance in a BI context: certification, security models, lineage, and data quality — and the ability to explain it convincingly to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, AWS Redshift, BigQuery)
Familiarity with other BI tools such as Qlik or Looker
Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
Hands-on experience with AI/GenAI in analytics: Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities in Fabric, Tableau Pulse/Agent, natural-language Q&A, or building LLM-assisted analytics prototypes
Familiarity with governance and cataloging tooling (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation)
Understanding of responsible-AI and data privacy considerations in client-facing analytics solutions
Experience in outsourcing or nearshore delivery environments
